We know that going to the dentist can be difficult sometimes, so we do everything we can to make sure you're relaxed and comfortable. Our first priority is to treat you as we want to be treated: with respect, patience and clarity.
At Burnside Dental, we pride ourselves on offering
comprehensive general dentistry to our patients.
There has been a dental surgery at this location since 1980, started by John Barnet-Lamb and joined by Tom Mullan in 1983. Tom took over the running of the Practice in 1987 with a partner until 2017, then Tom took sole ownership. As a family run practice, our aim is to offer our dental services with expertise and friendliness. We want you to feel as comfortable as possible and that's been the goal from the very first day we opened the clinic.
We pride ourselves on our friendly, welcoming patient-centred approach to dentistry. We aim to make your experience as painless and relaxed as possible whilst delivering high quality care which suits your needs, wishes and budget.
Our clinic is dedicated to providing high-quality care in various aspects of dental health, including
general dentistry, which you can learn more about

Our team is the friendliest and most knowledgable you will find, and we love helping our patients with their beautiful smiles
Tom qualified from Glasgow University and has been working as a dentist since 1983 when he joined this practice. He was in partnership at Burnside for thirty years until his partner's recent departure when he became sole owner. He says "he liked it so much he bought the company."
In his spare time he plays golf and tennis and likes to escape to the piste once or twice a year if he can.

I finished my DMD (Dentariae Medicinae Doctor) degree at Coimbra's University, a student town, much like Cambridge. Relocated to England in 2008, worked in Market Harborough for a couple of years and moved to South Cambridge for a warmer climate. I enjoy all aspects of Dentistry and have an MSc in Restorative from the prestigious UCL Eastman Dental Institute. My free time is spent with my wife and sons and of course the dog and cats. Travelling is part of my DNA and I'm always looking forward to it.
